Our Chapter is committed to excellence.  Part of that commitment is having our activities and accomplishments recognized at the national level by MOAA through competing for two of their particular chapter level awards.

Every year, councils and chapters may request to be recognized for one of two Levels of Excellence awards from MOAA National.  Chapters submit their nomination packet against designated criteria, describing their best practices and accomplishments.  The very best chapters receive five-star awards (highest level of recognition).

Out of just over 400 MOAA affiliates, 161 councils and chapters nominated themselves for LOE award recognition for 2021 accomplishments.  We were pleased to once again be selected as a Five-Star Level Chapter.  We were one of two Oklahoma chapters to be recognized at this level.  This is our 7th year in a row to be recognized at that level.  In fact, we have been recognized at one of the two levels every year since our first submission in 2014.  We believe this is a significant accomplishment that we all can be proud of.

We are also a multi-year selectee of the MOAA Marvin J. Harris Communications Award at the Five-Star level for this website.  This website has been recognized every year since its launch in April 2015.
