Thought for the Week...

Each and every day you may unknowingly be an inspiration to someone.  You are probably not the most successful person you know or the most productive.  You are not likely the highest achiever either but that doesn't change the fact that can make a positive impact on those around you as well as those you come into contact with.  While you may not view it this way, you may be underestimating your inspirational value to others.

Eligibility

All active duty, retired, National Guard, Reserve, and former commissioned officers and warrant officers of the uniformed services of the United States - Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Public Health Service, and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration - are eligible for membership.

Here are some of the reasons we believe you should join our Chapter:

  • We are an independent, self-governing and self-supporting Chapter that is affiliated with National MOAA and seeks to promote the attainment of their goals as well as our own supporting goals and objectives
  • We provide grass-roots advocacy on local, state and federal legisaltion
  • We believe in the philopsophy that we "never stop serving" by being Community Ambassadors
  • We provide a means to serve and strengthen support to the military of Southwest Oklahoma via:
    • An area university scholarship program for military families
    • Support of area Reserve Officer Training Programs (JROTC and SROTC)
    • Membership in the Comanche County Veterans Council
    • Opportunities for local networking for service members seeking a second career
    • A strong connection with Fort Sill and its leadership
  • We provide camaraderie with a purpose via:
    • Chapter supported activities
    • Bimonthly membership meetings
