Each school year our Chapter provides financial support through the awarding of $1000 scholarships to very deserving university bound high school seniors from our area with military sponsors.  Based on available funding, we typically award 5 scholarships each year.  

These scholarships are funded by local corporate sponsors, other organizations, Chapter members and friends of the Chapter.  We always have more deserving students apply than we can financially recognize, so we thank those who annually donate.  We now have approval of the SW Oklahoma Chapter of MOAA Scholarship Fund, a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to which donations are fully tax deductible.   

In 2014, the Chapter met it's long-term objective of funding 4 nationally endowed scholarships.  A remarkable achievement considering we raised over $100,000 in just a little over 6 years.  Due to the generosity of our membership and friends of the Chapter, these scholarships are permanently funded.  For this effort we were awarded the "Eagle Chapter" designation by MOAA National.
