President’s Message, November 2024
This Story Expires on: 12/01/25

Hello, my fellow SWOK MOAA members!  I hope everyone was able to vote for their preferred candidates. This month we honor all those veterans who have served in the United States Armed Forces.  Because of their service, we can exercise our right to vote.

Your SWOK Chapter continues to strive for excellence in all our activities.  To that end, we sent out a Chapter Survey this past summer. Thanks to all who responded to the survey. Thanks also to Rocky Samek for developing this survey and tabulating the results. The primary objectives of this survey were as follows:
        1. Confirm Executive Board actions, decisions, and activities are consistent with member expectations.
        2. Identify and eliminate activities and actions that are not value added and consistent with member desires and wants.
        3. Identify enablers and inhibitors to Chapter membership growth and focus efforts, when possible, to increase membership in our Chapter.

The Executive Board has examined the results of the survey and determined that we need to modify some of our Goals and Objectives.  I will present these at our January 2025 General Membership Meeting.

If you are able, volunteers are needed for emplacing flags at the Fort Sill National Cemetery at 0900 6 November. Meet at Section 3. Recovery will be 0900 12 November.

Our next General Membership Meeting will be at 1130, 13 November 2024 in the Prairie Building, Comanche County Fairgrounds. The invitations went out in late October. We plan to present checks to the Cohen Military Family Clinic and the Lawton Veterans Resource Center. We also will announce the slate of Executive Board nominations for the 2025-2026 term of office. The election will be conducted electronically. Please let Dennis Clippinger know if you plan to attend not later than 08 November. His contact information is:

                     Tel: (580) 585-0251 or email: dennis.clippinger@sbcglobal.net

Again, thanks for all you do to support our veterans!

Never Stop Serving!
