Chapter Scholarship Donors Recognized

Donors to our Chapter Scholarship Fund being recognized with one of the new Chapter challenge coins

We sent out an email a couple of months ago asking you to consider donating to our Chapter scholarship fund.  Thanks to those of you who did.  A number of you have been an annual donor for years with our great appreciation for your continued generosity.  Most of those donations were at the Century level ($100 or greater) and selected members at the Platinum level ($500 or greater).  One of our Objectives for 2023 was to have at least 20 members at that level and with your help, we exceeded that (22).  We view the donation period as year round so please consider donating at any point, with whatever amount you decide.  Your donations are tax deductable if you itemize or can be handled as Qualified Charitable Distributions for those of you who are required to receive Minimum Required Distributions from IRAs or other retirement plans.  Your tax preparer or financial advisor can explain the advantages of the latter approach.

We are on track to meet our 2024 Objective of once again awarding 5 area scholarships ($1000 each) to derserving high school seniors this spring.  Our winners continue to be impressive young men and woment we all can be proud of.  We have a summary on our website in case its been a while since you looked at our last winners or any of the other details of our program.

Your Executive Board thought we should do something special in recognition of our Century and Platinum level donors.  The picture on this page shows a significant number of our Century and Platinum donors for 2023 being recognized at the January GMM.  They were presented one of our new Chapter challenge coins.  These coins are really nice.  Please contact Dennis if you would like to purchase one regardless of whether you donate to the scholarship fund or not.
